Noorderkron’ is the local section at Achel from the Vlaamse Veriniging voor Sterrendunde (VVS). Two pannels describe the difference between the sun time and the mean clock time as well as a graph of the equation of time.
The equation of time is a corrected to be applied that varies from about -15 minutes and about +15 minutes according to the calendar date.
Following a construction error the sundial does not show the sun time nor does it show the clock time. There is an 8 minutes shift between the sundial and the click time.
