This ring sundial, also called armillary sphere, shows a couple of rings that brings no extra functionalities to the dial. Actually they represent a didactical model of the Earth with the polar circles and the Tropics
The time is to be read from the white equatorial ring.
One can see a small sundial at the top of the style.
