Remark :
On the contrary to the horizontal and vertical sundials, the style of this one is absolutely not inclined (51° in Limburg) according to the horizon.
There is no style. One places oneself on some kind of calendar on the correct date. It is then one's own shadow which gives the time. The points indicating the time are located on an ellipse.
A second sundial has been added to this analemmatic one: a white circle arc (inclined with 90-51=39°). In order to keep the whole sundial within the flower-bed the great axe of the ellipse has been restricted to 2 meters. Due to this the reading is very unaccurate. A length of 6 meters would have been optimal.
