Remark :
On April, 23 1749 was born under the Austrian of the Netherlands Belgium government, in the village of Sint-Amandts, along the Schelde; province of the Flemich Brabant, John Andre TEIRLINCK, third son of Judocus Teirlinck and of (Maria) Teresia van Dorsselaer, maried since Novembre, 3 1743.
From 1771 on, Teirlinck lived in the capuchins brood in Brussels under the name of 'Brother Amantius of Sint-Amands. He became a clock maker and made sundials for most of the capuchins broods in Flanders.
This sundial dated 1784 gives the time for 8 cities over the world:
- in Europe: Vienna, Madrid and Paris
- in America: Lima (Peru)
- in Africa : Mecca
- in Asia: Dakha (Bangladesh), Pekin (China) et Civit Thoma (India).
