Model 51
Here is a multi style sundial.
In the Zonnetijdingen 2006-4 magazine a Dutch multi style sundial is described and a Spannish construction is mentioned*. Model 51 is different from these two. The number of styles is only 8 instead or 17 as in the Dutch and Spannish constructions. The styles are located on a cylinder. This cylinder is inclined relative to the ground and have an elliptical pattern. The commun point of reading is surrounded with four ellipses which correspond respectively to a 15 minutes delta time. This allows to read time with a good precision. Only the odd hours are written although the sundial is valid from 4 to 20. It may look strange that the 12 hours is not written while it can be read.
